Thank you for your order from Love That Scent. We specialise in small-batch, hand-poured fragrances and follow strict safety and transport regulations to protect both our customers and our team.

1. Dispatch & Processing Times

  • All fragrances are hand-poured in small batches to ensure precision and quality.

  • Dispatch time is 4–5 business days from the time your order is placed.

  • During periods of high demand, dispatch may be closer to the upper end of this timeframe, but we always work to send your order as quickly as possible.

Once dispatched, your parcel will enter the Australia Post network and standard transit times will apply (see “Delivery Timeframes” below).

2. Shipping Options & Rates (Within Australia)

  • Standard Shipping: $9.95

    • The actual shipping cost is $11.35; we cover the difference to ensure your order is packed safely and securely.

We currently ship within Australia only.

3. Dangerous Goods & Transport Compliance

Our products are classified as Dangerous Goods due to their alcohol content.

  • Classification: Class 3 Flammable Liquids – UN 1266 (Perfumery Products).

  • To comply with the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code and Australia Post safety regulations, all fragrance orders are transported under Dangerous Goods conditions.

  • All parcels are sent via a specialised eParcel Dangerous Goods contract ("8000 Allowance"), which ensures your goods travel legally, safely, and remain fully insured in transit.

Transport Method

  • Standard Road Transport Only (Road Express)

    • We cannot ship via Express Post or any air transport service.

    • All orders are dispatched via Priority Road / Standard Road Transport to keep your parcel off aircraft and fully compliant with aviation safety laws.

4. Delivery Timeframes (After Dispatch)

Once your order has been dispatched (after the 4–5 business day processing time):

  • East Coast metro/major regional: Typically 2–5 business days.

  • WA / NT / rural & remote: Typically 5–10 business days, as all parcels travel by road only.

Please note: These timeframes are estimates provided by the carrier and may vary due to public holidays, network delays, weather events, or other factors outside our control.

5. Tasmania (TAS) Shipping Restrictions

Due to Dangerous Goods transport restrictions and carrier compliance:

  • We do not ship to Tasmania (TAS).

  • Orders placed with a Tasmanian shipping address (postcodes 7000–7999) are not eligible for delivery.

  • If an order is placed to a TAS address, it will be:

    • Cancelled in full, and

    • Refunded to the original payment method.

We recommend customers in Tasmania do not place orders, as we are currently unable to fulfil or deliver them under Dangerous Goods regulations.

6. Order Handling, Packing & Tracking

  • Every order is carefully hand-poured, decanted and packed to minimise leakage and breakage risk during transport.

  • All orders are shipped with a tracking number.

    • Your tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.

  • Please ensure your email address and shipping details are entered correctly at checkout to receive tracking updates.

7. International Shipping

  • We do not currently offer international shipping.

  • Orders are shipped within Australia only, subject to the Dangerous Goods and TAS restrictions outlined above.

8. Changes, Delays & Customer Responsibility

  • While we strive to meet the stated dispatch timeframe of 4–5 business days, occasional delays may occur due to record demand, carrier issues, or safety checks.

  • Once an order has been dispatched, transit times are controlled by the carrier and may vary.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not liable for parcels delayed or returned due to incorrect or incomplete address information.
